Can't
Afford $300 an Hour for an Attorney But Need
Legal Help Breaking a Lease Now?
Everyone should have access to a reputable, local
attorney when they need one. We give working
men and women access to the law, and we don't
charge an arm and a leg to do it. If you
need to talk to a lawyer, complete the form, and
we will contact you. We've helped thousands
of others, and we can help you today...and down
the road.
There is no law that says a tenant
cannot break his or her lease. By law and by
the lease contract, however, the tenant may be
financially obligated to the landlord for the rent
and any other charges due to the landlord for rent
and to re-rent the property. You must read
your lease in its entirety before you sign it and
you must understand all of it. Generally,
once you notify the landlord that you intend to
move before your lease is up, both you and your
landlord must make a good faith effort to find a
new tenant.
