Bait and Switch
This tactic of bait and switch is
illegal. A seller cannot advertise one product and
then attempt to substitute another one for it. This
happens a lot when it comes to selling and buying
automobiles. The car dealer advertises a car at an
amazing price, so you go to the dealership wanting to see
that car at that price. But when you arrive, that
car is not available. Instead, the car salesman has
a different car for you, maybe not as good, for the same
price or he has an even better car at a higher
price. This is bait and switch.

If you are the victim of bait and switch,
you can call your local district attorney's office or the
fraud department of your state's consumer affairs office
or you can complain to the local Better Business Bureau.
