Attorney in Fact An attorney-in-fact is the person you designate to make decisions or to enter into contracts for you if you become incapacitated for some reason. This person has your power-of-attorney. For example, you may designate an attorney-in-fact in your advance health care directive. This person then makes medical decisions for you if you cannot make them yourself due to injury or illness or other issues. |
